Farm Tour: Hazel Witch Farm
Saturday, May 18 from 10am-12pm
Tour Hazel Witch Farm with owner Ash Hobson Carr! She will walk you through the fields, highighting growing methods and the evolution of the farm. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please bring sunscreen, a hat, and good walking shoes!
About Hazel Witch Farm: In 2017 the first spreadsheets and over eager seed buying began for what would become Hazel Witch Farm. We’ve grown from apartment window sills to the backyards of grandparents, a middle school learning garden, and to our current farm site- a 6 acre perch above the Chickahominy River. What started as a woman-owned side gig has blossomed into a business and a collective farm community. Hazel Witch Farm is run by Ash Hobson Carr, and shares space with our landmates, Shine Farms + Real Roots Food Systems.
We grow medicinal herbs + specialty cut flowers, and whether you’re putting them in your tea cup or in a vase we want them to be free from harmful chemicals, have a light footprint on our soil + water, and supportive of fair wages for our selves + crew.
